Arpana - Dance and Music School
Arpana Arts is a school for Indian Classical Dance and Music in the Tri-Cities, WA area. The school is owned and operated by Niraja Ganesan, a highly trained classical dancer.
Dance students are instructed in the Bharatanatyam style - a rich and ancient form of Indian Classical Dance with roots in Southern India. Classes focus on both the technical aspects of Bharatanatyam (e.g. footwork and posture), as well as the dramatic elements necessary to effectively portray characters on
stage in a ballet. Students are provided the opportunity to perform on stage in annual productions staged by the dance company. Lessons are offered to students ages 5 and up, and are tailored to individual needs.
The school also offers music lessons focused on Carnatic music - the South Indian Classic style of music. Students of all ages and skill levels are welcome.
